Preserving flowers is a relatively new high-tech idea in the flower preserving industry. It was originally developed in France. The technology was valued by the Japanese and was developed further and finalized in Japan. Traditionally, the method of preserving is dehydration however, this process loses the texture and color of the flowers. Artificial flowers, on the other hand, may look real, the texture, however, cannot be compared with real flowers. Fresh flowers are highly perishable and could be seasonal and costly. Preserved flowers, is somewhat filling a gap between real flower, dried flowers and artificial flowers. Preserved flower is a special process of preserving good quality fresh flowers, so that they will stay fresh and keep their color and texture for up to 5 years (possibly longer). As long as it was kept out of direct sunlight and humidity, it should be kept indoors only. Method of preserving will explained further later.
